Description Description:
This Junior System Administrator position does require travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations, possibly to hostile areas. The candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year, for at least 2 weeks at a time. Must have 3 years experience with Windows 2003/2008 operating systems/servers, as well as 3 years experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008. Must have experience providing system administrator training. Generate documentation and procedures associated with system functionality and configuration. Will work as a team member to configure, test, and system upgrades. Will perform help desk responsibilities as required to include responding to and answering trouble tickets. Use and/or maintenance of Remedy is required.

Requirements:
BS or equivalent degree, preferably in computer related field. At least three years experience with Windows Server 2000/20. At least three years experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008. Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking terminology and configurations. Experience with setting up and maintaining Dell and HP servers. Experience providing system administrator training. Experience creating and modifying Remedy (or other support tracking tool) tickets. Experience with creating and maintaining documentation. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Must be willing to work after hours during emergency call-in. Must be able to travel up 25% of year, for at least two weeks at a time. Must be willing to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including possible hostile areas. Must be able to work in a team oriented environment. Must be able to work independently under strict time constraints.


Assets:
MCP/MCSA/MCSE, Network+, A+, Security+, or NetApp certifications. At least two years of experience working with Vmware ESX server. At least two years experience providing customer service. Experience with IIS and System Security.
