Description
Overview:
The individual selected for the position will interface primarily with the user community. Incumbent will work closely with the IT Manager to assist in problem resolution and implementation of new system solutions. This position will also direct the activities of contract employees for PC setups.

Responsibilities - Essential functions:
Support network, PC, printer and software applications used by employees. Perform PC hardware and software setups and configurations
Maintain and ghosting/imaging (GENESYS) for fielded PC/Laptop systems.
Support user requests for assistance. Manage requests using our Remedy help desk system
Resolve shop floor hardware and software problems related to manufacturing executions systems (MES)
Participate in new system solution implementations, including training of the users.
Manage nightly tape backup.
Repair PCs and printers




Experience/Skills
Experience in data processing in the enterprise hardware environment at a minimum of 4-6 years.
2 years experience in PC hardware repair, A+ and MCP certification strongly preferred.
An associates degree in computer science, business administration, or related field is desired. Experience supporting and troubleshooting MS Windows, and Office applications is required
Reasonable availability during off hours for trouble shooting and support is required
Ability to work independently with little supervision in a self managed team environment.
Takes general direction and follows tasks through to a timely and accurate completion with little supervision
Ability to research tasks and follow technical instructions
Comply with all written environmental (ISO 14001) and quality (QS 9000) policies.
Communicate well, and be honest.
Physical Demands:
Ability to physically access all areas of the plant with reasonable accommodations.
Ability to lift/move PC equipment.

Other desired skills:
