May perform one or more of the following:

Seeking opportunistic professional. Junior level Unix Administration position to support various contracts in the Government sector. This challenging position will focus on Unix Administration skills supporting various operating system environments. (AIX, Linux, Solaris, HP-UX)
The following will be performed in support of this objective:
  • Display a comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of Unix Administration concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Desire to grow and learn new technologies
  • Exhibit competence to work on highly complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support activities
  • Become a member of a quick-response user-support team and can regularly work under demanding deadlines, operating independently to resolve end-user problems
  • Participates and/or leads others in developing technical architecture solutions and pricing for contracts proposals.
  • Must work equally well independently and jointly with the team.

    The ideal candidate for this position mandates a fast learner that can contribute quickly to the success of the mission. A thinker with vision with an eagerness to excel. Exceptional problem solving skills and professional savvy when interacting and responding with other teams. Positive ?can do? attitude with the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and see them to fruition. Other position requirements include:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years overall Unix experience
  • Experience with Symantec/Veritas NetBackup
  • Experience working in a hardened datacenter environment
  • 24x7 on-call support
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability for minimal travel

    PREFERRED:
  • Attachmate NetIQ App Manager monitoring
  • Symantec Veritas Storage Foundation
  • System security & hardening experience
  • Scripting Languages (Unix, Perl, PHP, etc?)
  • Experience with SAN technologies a plus
