Description
A Nashville, TN-based healthcare firm is searching for a candidate to fill the role of Junior Application Analyst-Patient Accounting. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing functional support, design, instruction, oversight and guidance for Revenue Cycle/Patient Accounting applications. You'll be assisting in the development of system strategies, conducting business needs analyses, identifying and mitigating project risks, supporting the applications users and assisting in the implementation of Patient Accounting application projects.

Experience/Skills
To qualify for consideration for this position, you must meet or exceed the following:

  • A 4-year degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Healthcare or equivalent, related work experience.
  • 3+ years experience in Patient Accounting functions with McKesson STAR Patient Accounting application experience preferred.
  • Expertise in at least two revenue cycle modules/applications as a super user or IT&S analyst.
  • Proven ability to understand business and financial issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
  • Proven project manager of small to medium projects of with experience managing functional items such as: Standard work breakdown structure;
  • Resources and critical path; Project scope; Issues identification and oversight; Change control processes.
  • Basic understanding in the areas of application architecture, database and system design, Internet, Intranet and client/server architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills.


  • Experience preferred with McKesson Star suite
  • Willingness to participates in and support on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
