Description
Interact with clients and assist in requirements gathering.
Assist in software design, task breakdown and planning based on business requirements and priorities.
Submit software designs for review in compliance with best practices.
Develop/enhance software applications based on business requirements.
Perform unit testing and user testing as part of the product life cycle.
Support the full product life cycle and release management.
Learn, use and gain experience with testing tools and techniques
Consult with experienced personnel and receives guidance on strategies that minimize implementation risk and/or improve system reliability and performance
Monitor implementations and respond appropriately as directed in the event of system disruption.
Provide system support and application troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • 2 years experience in C# .NET, database design/programming (SQL Server or DB2), ASP.net Web applications and services (v2.0, v3.5)
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices in Object Oriented Design/programming and database design/programming.
  • Open to learning and supporting Smalltalk applications (30%), while we migrate Legacy applications to .NET.

Desired Skills:

  • .NET 3.5, Smalltalk, SQL Server Enterprise Services, TFS, Release Management, Design Patterns, O/R Mapping.
