Are you a recent college grad with a degree in Computer Science? Have you always loved developing and contributing to open source projects? Junior Level Software Engineer needed to work on the next generation of a trading platform, distributed over commodity Servers ("grid" or "cloud" computing). The work involves distributed systems, networking, file systems in C/C++ with some Python/Perl.

What you need:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a Top Tier School
- Previous experience with open source software and ideally have contributed code to those projects
- Good understanding of distributed systems and parallel programming
- Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals (ie data structures, algorithms, networking and operating systems)
- Experience developing engineering solutions and writing code in Linux C/C++ (can be in a strictly academic or at-home setting)
- Fluency in C/C++, STL, multithreading, shared memory, IPC, and the rest of the Linux systems programming toolset

What you'll be doing - You will:

- Work closely with team to design and architect the next generation platform
- Implement complete solutions from the network topology to the hardware configuration to the class hierarchy
- Instrument, benchmark and analyze hardware (disks, network interconnects) and software systems (filesystems, messaging layers) for performance related measures like latency and throughput
