Junior computer system and network administrator in a dynamic IT environment to support large customer accounts. The candidate will design, install, configure and support workstations and servers. Provide day-to-day onsite administrative support for hardware and software systems. Maintain network and hardware servers, analyze problems, and monitor the environment to ensure its availability.

The candidate will monitor and adjust the performance of existing servers/workstations and continually survey the data center to determine future capacity needs. Troubleshoot problems reported by users and by automated monitoring systems and make recommendations for enhancements in the implementation of future servers and networks. Provide technical assistance, support, and advice to customers and internal users.

The candidate will troubleshoot, determine root cause and interpret problems and provide technical support for hardware, software, and systems. The prospective administrator will be required to have extensive experience with Microsoft Windows environments and maybe required to possess industry certifications such MCSA/MCSE.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Installing and configuring Microsoft Windows Servers
- Project management experience helpful.
- Applying operating system configuration updates
- Installing and configuring new hardware/software
- Adding/deleting/modifying user account information
- Answering technical support
- Conduct root cause and develop corrective actions
- Documenting the configuration of the systems
- Troubleshooting any reported problems
- System performance tuning
- On call 24x7 via rotation


Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

NetApp Certification is a plus.
Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Minimum of 3-4 years of related technical support experience. Requires advanced knowledge and experience in a full range of technology platforms and systems.

- Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003 (Required)
- Microsoft Windows XP (Required)
- ISA Server experience a plus.
- Active Directory Implementation
- Microsoft Security Hardening
- Active Directory Global Policy Management
- WINS/DNS Management
- IIS 5.0/6.0 experience
- NAS or SAN experience
- TCP/IP understanding
- OSI troubleshooting ability
- VMWare ESX experience a plus
- Microsoft Clustering experience a plus
- Microsoft WSUS Experience a plus
