Description
Genesis 10 is seeking a Junior to Intermediate level Java/Interface Developer for an immediate, direct-hire resource need for one of our health industry clients in Lenexa, Kansas. In this role, you will need 1 to 3 years of java development experience. Healthcare industry experience and knowledge of networking is helpful, but not required. The salary range is $50k to $60k/year.

Scope of Work:
The Java/Interface Programmer Level 1 functions under the direction of the Technical Project Manager by mastering the skills necessary to perform the functions of a Level 2 Interface Programmer. These skills are:
- Comparing, mapping, verifying, documenting, coding and executing conversion of data in accordance with system IT migration strategy.
- Preparing documentation for systems data verification and
implementation. Results will be verified from systems data verification and implementation plans.
- Analyzing, designing, coding, testing, implementing, debugging, documenting and supporting new interfaces (ANSI X12, HL7, XML) as well as enhancements to existing interfaces.
- Performing appropriate analysis and designs and creates detailed specifications.
- Performs technical design including program/module specifications, data flows and production support/operations requirements. Develops systems testing and implementation plans, test specifications and test cases. Prepares and/or reviews system and technical design documentation.
- Interface Engine administration to include application of network and integration engine updates and patches.

Experience/Skills
Required Experience/Skills:
- 1 to 3 years of java development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems/services, or 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be creative with a willingness to think "Outside the Box".
- Possess a service-oriented approach.
- Capable of adjusting to work pressures, change and difficult situations impacting information services staff, customers and other groups, without unusual stress reactions.
- Possess a high standard of work, thoroughness and ability to cooperate and coordinate activities across multiple organizational business units.
- Work with little or no supervision and work collaboratively with diverse groups.

Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Healthcare industry experience helpful, but not required.
- Knowledge of networking is helpful, but not required.
