Position Description:




The ideal candidate will will perform a range of functions in the areas of technical design, development, deployment, and integration of the Cognos EP and/or Cognos BI solutions to solve our clients' financial performance management and reporting challenges. Responsibilities may include solution architecture development, proof of concept/prototype design, infrastructure requirements development, database design, architecture and administration, application development, and testing. We encourage applicants with strong records of achievement and skills in Cognos solution design and implementation, and problem solving.



Duties:

*Gathering and analyzing business requirements
*Participating in determining standards and best practices
*Partnering with an implementation team
*Transferring knowledge to the clients
*Experience in full life-cycle of project development including Requirements, Design, *Development, Testing, Rollout, Implementation, and Training
*Ability to foster client relationships and working relationships with peers



Skills/Experience:



Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work-related Experience (10+ Years)

Cognos
Enterprise
Planning product certification a strong plus.

Experience with Cognos Controller or Cognos Finance a plus

Cognos Business Intelligence tool experience a plus.

At least 3 years experience in Implementing software solutions

Strong knowledge in Cognos 8.x

At least 3 years experience in Enterprise Planning Required.

Enterprise Planning- Experience/ Understanding of the Planning, Budgeting and Forecast cycle within a corporate environment.

Ability to develop complex models that integrate financial information within all levels and departments of a corporate structure.

Hands on work is expected

Understanding the financial data flow

Ability to facilitate best practices regarding appropriate use for budgeting techniques such as bottoms up budgeting vs. top down.

Able to quickly understand clients' current business processes.

Ability and experience to promote and justify process change in order to maximize software strengths Knowledge - Apply Standard Methodologies by learning and embracing the standard methodologies. Utilize the automated toolset to apply methodology to each and every engagement.

Mentoring team members and partners in the implementation of standard methodologies at each engagement.
