Position Description:




The ideal candidate will implement designs or approaches developed by others. Is able to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction



Skills/Experience:



Must have experience with IBM AIX v5.x.x,

Familiarity with PowerBroker and PowerPassword products a plus.


Intermediate UNIX systems programmer capable of following documented procedures for the installation and configuration software packages on servers running various varieties of UNIX (principally IBM AIX v5.x.x).

The candidate must be capable of following and consulting on installation scripts and procedures:

*Software Installation and Maintenance Develops logic; modifies, installs, tests and debugs software packages. Works with clients and vendors to achieve timely software installation and maintenance. Maintains inventory records of software. Assists in compliance of installation and quality standards. Assists with change management.
*Software Development and Modification Develops and modifies software and scripts to support required functionality.
*Compliance Accountability Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
*Empowerment Level Advice and Recommend. Person should be following well documented procedures. If a task deviates from a procedure, it should not be performed. Expectation at this level is that the deviation is reported, and recommendations to correct or improve the procedure made.
