Position Description:




The ideal candidate will be database administrators but their scope of responsibility is to ensure continuity and alignment of the Source Systems, Staging, and Repository layers of all Business Intelligence and Reporting solutions.



Duties:
* Perform CORE DBA tasks such as Database Administration on Oracle 10g environment, performance tuning, Schema creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Identify, monitor, recommend, and implement changes to database applications ensuring satisfactory end-user response time with reliable database connectivity.
* Implement physical database changes, testing, and performance tuning on Oracle Partitioned environment.
* Prepares and/or review database activity, progress, and performance reports.
* Support 15-20 Oracle Instances with a capacity of 40-50TB on AIX 5 environment.
* Maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, Unix Shell Scripts, debugging and tuning.
* Implement Production Control and Change Management on Remedy.
* Involve in complex Batch Job Schedules, set priorities and implement action plans.
* Ability to pro-actively understand and manage end user/customer expectations.
* Implement best practices on new Oracle database technologies and implementations.
* Facilitates knowledge transfer and mentors other team members.
* Provides expertise and makes recommendations for physical database design, architecture, testing, performance tuning, and implementation of Oracle DB.
* Performs DBA tasks such as server administration, performance tuning, table
* maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Provides best practices on new technologies and implementations.
* Facilitates knowledge transfer and mentors other team members.
* Identify, monitor, recommend and implements changes to database applications insuring satisfactory end-user response time and reliable database connectivity.
* Prepares and/or reviews database activity, progress and performance reports.
* Maintains accurate documentation.
* Covers all aspects of project management pertaining to database administration including planning and execution."



Skills/Experience:



·


Experienced in customizing and maintaining integrated
Enterprise
system applications including human resources systems, financial systems, project management systems and customer relationship management systems as well as developing and supporting Health Care systems, Database Engineering, DBA project support and Database replication technologist such as Oracle Stream, Shareplex etc.


·


Advance degree in computer engineer or equivalent) with a strong background in technical architecture, data architecture, and has acumen for business.

·


Good programming, web development and project management skills a plus.

·


Strong experience with Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers.

·


Experience in building data marts

·


Experience in multi-dimensional data modeling

·


Experience in ETL processes

·


Experience in OLAP processes
