Boulder, CO company seeking a Knowledge Engineer. This is a research and development position within the knowledge engineering team. This team is responsible for researching log messages produced by network devices, security devices, operating systems, applications, and databases. Members of this team also have the responsibility of developing and maintaining advanced correlation rules.Qualified candidates will have hands on research and/or IT administration experience with a variety of networking devices, security devices, operating systems, and applications.

Experience/Skills
Required Skills• 3 plus years combined field experience in the following areas:o System administrationo Network administrationo Security analysis/administrationo IT audit• Experience with logging systems (i.e., Syslog, Windows Event Log)• Comfortable installing and configuring various operating systems• Comfortable installing and configuring windows based applications• Comfortable installing and configuring *NIX based applications• A strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and routing• Excellent writing and communication skills• Detail & quality orientedValued Skills• Degree in Computer Information Systems or Network Security• Relevant industry certifications (i.e., CISSP, CISA)• Security Information/Event Management solution experience• Regular expression experience• Start-up experience
