Description
Specification, installation, implementation and administration of Unix, PC and Macintosh servers and workstations
Enterprise data access and integrity (backup, security, uptime) including:
Plant Data Center - including 70+ Terabytes in two SANs, three SUN Solaris servers and 40+ Windows Servers.
Administration of local Active Directory environment
Management of four backup servers and associated Tape libraries.
Maintain and optimize system(s) performance through the use of system monitoring and analysis tools and performing tuning.
Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (setup, install, implement and troubleshoot).
Support continued effort to improve production efficiencies and workflows through the use of technology.
Participate and direct "build-out" initiatives for operations affecting network functions.
Continued support and update of catalogued hardware and software for library for license compliance.
Advisory reporting to Corporate IT community.
Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.df-tc

Experience/Skills
3 years experience with Windows NT/2000/2003 server environments.
2 years experience with Windows Active Directory server.
Experience/knowledge/certification in the following technologies is desired:
Solaris (UNIX) operation system.
SUN SAMFS/QFS environment
DELL server platforms/Open Manage
Microsoft System Management Server helpful

Note: The critical background experience issues are some Unix or Linux server administration, basic understanding of storage systems, Windows systems administration, and user support experience.
