Reports To: Enterprise Network Manager
Position Purpose:

The primary responsibility is administration, operation, monitoring, and support of the network infrastructure (data/voice networks and Windows servers).

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of network infrastructure for voice and data (routers, switches (Cisco), PBX/phone switch (Nortel Meridian), cabling, and network topologies and protocols). Basic wiring and M.A.C. skills required.
2. Administration, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of Internet connectivity and Firewall services (Symantic), including DHCP services.
3. Administration, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of Windows Servers (53) including hardware, operating system software (MS 2003), and security access. MS Operation Manager is currently being installed.
4. Administration, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of the backup and recovery system.
5. Administration, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of anti-virus and patch software.
6. Execution of account administration process

Experience/Skills
Knowledge & Background Requirements: 1. One year of experience administering a Cisco network is required and Cisco certification is desired. 2. Experience with Internet security principles is required and one year of Cisco PIX Firewall experience is desired. 3. Two years experience maintaining Windows servers is required and MCSE certification is desired. 4. Bachelors Degree in related field is required but will consider associates degree with 3-5 years additional experience supporting a local area network environment is required. 5. Strong interpersonal communications is required. 6. Experience with telephone switches and PBXs is desired. 7. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills including Cisco and Active Directory f
