Description
This position is responsible for planning, design, and production support engineering of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet's wide area network (WAN), remote dial-in, and management network infrastructures. Responsibilities include project management, technology research, network performance analysis, technical documentation, customer engineering interfacing, and systems level design and support to meet project deliverables. Other Requirements/Notes: ------------------------- * BS in Engineering or related field - 5-7 years experience in network operations and engineering - Highly organized, a self-starter -Ability to interface with customers and vendors - Experience with TCP/IP, routing protocols, and internet standards - Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills - Solid problem-solving and network troubleshooting skills - Ability to work effectively in multiple team environments - Expert knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies (ATM,optical networking, frame relay, ethernet, FCAPS) - U.S. citizen
