*Candidates must respond with the Tekmark job number, 59078 in the subject line* Engineering Technician This job requires a CURRENT and VALID CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional) certification. Those with expired certifications should not apply. The position requires the individual to be responsible for managing the installation of dedicated wide area internet connections at various speeds from the Common backbone to various customer locations. This position requires good knowledge of Tier 1 ISPs Routing Policies (WAN experience) as well as Network design, Routing, DNS, IP Subneting, TCP/IP protocol,(BGP, OSFP, RIP, and EIGRP) Security: NAT Configuration, Proxy Server, and Firewalls. Telecommunications, Good knowledge of (OCX, T3, fractional T3, T1s and fractional T1, ATM, and Frame Relay, Voice Over-IP). Hardware (Routers, CSU/DSU, bridges, multiplexers, servers and switches configuration) Strong project management skills are required to compliment the required technical knowledge. This is NOT a hands on type of position. The position has the overall responsibility for implementing the service in order to meet their customers requirements, both technically and logistically. Must be US citizen or permanent resident due to possible government orders. Candidate must have experience in IP Telephony Troubleshooting, Implementing Cisco Voice Gateways and Gatekeepers, QoS, etc. In addition, candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in working with any companying that provided voice service. Valid CCVP required.
