Description
Install and configure telecommunications equipment such as routers, dsus, switches and firewalls according to established procedures. Troubleshoot problems with second-level NOC support and vendors.

Experience/Skills
Working knowledge of the principles and practices of telecommunications and computer network concepts, architectures, protocols, transport systems, communication services, hardware, software and video systems.
- Knowledge of Cisco equipment and configuration practices.
- Ability to assemble network component parts, diagnose and resolve telecommunications and computer network operation problems, and work with other technical personnel in negotiative situations.

Preferred:
- Knowledge of DSL & video
- Nortel experience


Other desired skills:
