Trasys is currently seeking a LDAP Engineer for a 6 month contract-perm position in Cincinnati, OH.

Description:
Design, implement and test a scaleable and secure LDAP-based security infrastructure. Engineer LDAP directory solutions for applications and evaluate LDAP-related technologies. Develop LDAP technology standards and directory synchronization processes. The position will support single sign-on authentication for our Intranet and Extranet Web portals and applications. Responsibilities include Producing LDAP schema designs and operational plans for populating, maintaining, operating, deployment and enhancement of various forms of Enterprise Level Directories. Understand and refine the Role Based Security framework used for authentication and single sign-on. Provide guidance and support for a virtual directory product currently being utilized, as well as technical expertise and guidance to application teams in implementing the above strategies. The right candidate should be Proficient with common aspects of directory design (namespace, schema, security, topology, etc.) and be practiced in Schema Extension, Migration and Merging Strategies.

This person will also participate in the planning and development of a Security API, which leverages a Role Based Security Framework for use with our Web based applications. The completion of documentation and providing a level of education of said deliverables will be critical to our success. He or she will participate, along with the Corporate Architecture team and Information Security, to identify the long-term role of directory services across the company. Be involved in the development and deployment of interfaces between the directory and source and target systems, and directory-enabled applications. This person will have a heavy influence over the design of these systems, so the ability to resolve conflicting goals of divergent groups is critical. Identity management experience is highly preferred.

This position will also be responsible for Implementing a Virtual Directory product to provide views of existing enterprise identity information to directory enabled applications.

The current technical environment consists of Open Network's DirectorySmart product. This product is used as a Web Access Control tool, as well as managing multiple LDAP directories, including Active Directory and an IBM Directory Server. An upgrade to Open Networks Universal IdP(J2EE version) is currently being planned. While the IdP environment will be Java/J2EE centric (IBM AIX/ BEA WebLogic), the candidate must be flexible in working with applications utilizing multiple technologies and platforms.

Must have the following experience: 5+ years experience with LDAP or X.500 directory server implementations, including Active Directory and at least one of the following: iPlanet/Sun ONE 4.x-5.1, OpenLDAP, or IBM Directory Server. Excellent process and data modeling skills (using Visio or other tool). Prior experience in the deployment of Corporate Role Based Directory / Security Models within the framework of a highly complex organization model. Experienced in Information Security Technologies and Industry best practices. Object level design practices in Java, C/C++, Perl, and/or other development environments. Experience in automating user account and group membership creation, excellent organization, communication, and analytic skills. Strong knowledge of single sign on authentication, J2EE 1.2 and up, SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and/or IBM DB2), Application Server (BEA WebLogic preferred). Proficiency with technologies used to programmatically access LDAP directories (JDNI, LDAP C SDK, ADSI). Prefer a working knowledge of the following: DirectorySmart 4.6 and up, SAML, Web Services, MKS.
