Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under minimal supervision, utilizes current graphic design technology and computer software packages to prepare design, art, and copy layouts for proposals, presentations, reports, technical papers, newsletters, and other visual communications media. The incumbent at this level is capable of performing the most difficult and complex graphic design assignments. Provides technical guidance to lower-level Graphic Designers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


Manage graphic group staff, production planning, and staff assignments as necessary.
Strong PC skills required.
Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign using templates, master pages and styles.
Must be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office Suite.
Overtime will be required.
Produce quality work and meet deadlines and customer expectations for creativity and accuracy while juggling multiple projects.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline sensitive environment and be a team player.
Assist graphic designers in the production of illustrations, newsletters, flyers, brochures, collateral materials, videos, animations, collaborative workspaces, and web sites.
Manage and maintain databases of project photographs.
Must possess professional and courteous demeanor with ability to foster and maintain working relationships.
Assist in developing methods and designs for various graphic displays.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors degree plus 10 or more years of experience is preferred, 5 of those managing others
* Team player with a positive attitude, and ability to communicate professionally during stressful situations
* Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and respond to urgent requests in a positive manner
* Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
* Ability to protect business-sensitive data
* Professional personal presentation and expression
* Budget and expense management experience a strong plus
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
* Proactive, quick learner, flexible problem solver
* Aptitude for varied and simultaneous production operations, organization, and control
* An eye for logical and aesthetically pleasing page design and layout and ability to work within guidelines of Corporate branding
* Understanding of web based software (Dreamweaver, Flash) and HTML a plusdf-tc
