Basic Function:
Proactively monitors and maintains operational excellence throughout the field operating environment through use of various tools.

Principal Responsibilities
1. Manages environmental equipment throughout the facility to ensure a stable operational environment for all installed equipment.
2. Develops time estimates for individual tasks, monitors progress, and provides accurate and timely reports.
3. Performs basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and subsequent problem resolution for issues of simple to medium complexity with
minimal direction.
4. Takes corrective actions, communicates resolution of problems, or escalates issue to achieve timely recovery with minimum impact to
the customer.
5. Identifies trends to proactively prevent problems.
6. Assists in installation, customization, implementation and maintenance of network and operations equipment.
7. Participates on project teams in installation/de-installation of components.
8. Provides technical solutions with minimal assistance. Follows operational standards for reporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting all
production issues. Participates in turnover meetings.

  • Education: Technical Institute/Associate Degree in computer science or info systems preferred, or equivalent formal training or work
    experience.

    Experience: Position typically filled by candidate with at least 2 years' systems experience.

    Other qualifications:

    College degree preferred. 3-5 yrs. of progressively more responsible IT experience within JCPenney. Must have excellent written and oral communications, negotiating and leadership skills. Must be able to manage multiple people and projects over multiple shifts. Must have good understanding of networking and PC environment.df-tc
