We have an immediate need for a LEAN/Six Sigma Black Belt & Program Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI is currently recruiting for our client a global provider of energy equipment and solutions for the power generation and oil gas industries. This challenging contract opportunity is located at our client site in Orlando, FL.



PURPOSE OF POSITION: Work directly with key external customers to determine their voice and support their needs within the organization as well as to personally lead and execute quality and business improvement projects utilizing the LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies. Support organizational initiatives as well as internal department programs and projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This position will most likely be located in Orlando, FL.

- Actively participate in business meetings and address status and barriers regarding current projects

- Engage with business and region personnel as an integral part of the Service organization.



- Define, measure and execute improvement projects for process optimization by using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies as project leader.



- Complete a minimum of 2 projects within 12 months and a minimum of 1 additional project in the 18 months
- Directly Mentor at least 5 green belt or black belt or equivalent LEAN/Six Sigma projects



- Setup and facilitate executive review meetings.

- Educate employees in leading processes according to the use of LEAN & Six Sigma methodology and tools.



- Identify improvement opportunities for future projects.



- Identify needs and propose recommendations to increase quality, efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, profit and/or reduce cycle time.



- Prepare and conduct reviews to evaluate processes according to process ability and fulfillment of customer requirements.



- Motivate team to achieve project goals.



- Promote LEAN, Six Sigma and other quality methodologies throughout organization.



- Support and/or lead training for Green Belt Six Sigma, LEAN practitioner, or general quality training.



- Spend limited amount of time at customer site(s) to improve understanding of customer and field service needs

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Execute quality and business improvement projects. Support comprehensive roll-out of the Top+ quality six step approach and the Six Sigma methodology in the process organization.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- 8-10 years professional working experience directly related to power generation industry

- Bachelors Degree from an accredited University or College

- Experience in the following areas preferred: Field Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Management and Project Management.

-Proven Change Management Experience

-Proven Communication and Presentation Skills

- Black Belt or Master Black Belt training and certification required.

- Demonstrated Leadership capabilities, including mentoring of projects & executive presentations

- Lead role in at least three projects required

- LEAN training & LEAN practitioner experience & certification is highly desirable.

- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word, Database software
