GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Effectively support LIMS and IP21 databases, Account administration, Security administration and desktop troubleshooting. To maintain reliability, troubleshoot problems, quickly identify problems and produce resolution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: IP21 ADDITIONS, MODIFICATIONS, AND/OR DELETIONS TO THE IP21 DATABASE, SQL CALCULATIONS, AND ASPEN DISPLAYS LIMS ADDITIONS, MODIFICATIONS, AND/OR DELETIONS TO THE LIMS DATABASE CREATE LIMS WEB-BASED AREA SAMPLE REPORTS TROUBLE-SHOOTING AND PROBLEM SOLVING FOR BOTH IP21 AND LIMS SYSTEMS BE ABLE TO EVALUATE A PROBLEM OR SITUATION FROM AREA OR R&D PERSONNEL AND DESIGN A VIABLE SOLUTION USING EITHER LIMS OR IP21 SOFTWARE, OR CREATING AN SQL TO ACCOMPLISH TIME CONSUMING WORK IN A MUCH QUICKER AND MORE ACCURATE WAY THROUGH THE EXISTING IP21 AND LIMS TOOLS IP21 SYSTEM MONITORING IP21/LIMS ERROR CHECKING CREATE LIMS USER ACCOUNTS WITH PROPER ACCESS LEVELS CREATE REPORTS FOR USE BY AREA MANAGERS TO BETTER MONITOR THEIR AREA OPERATION UPDATE AND SUBMIT CURRENT COPY OF ISO LIMS DATABASE HAVE A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE ACTUAL PROCESS AND TERMINOLOGY IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO TROUBLESHOOT AND HELP WITH PROBLEM SOLVING MONITORING ADDITIONS AND CHANGES TO THE HEADCOUNT SYSTEM DATABASE TEACHING OTHERS HOW TO USE BOTH IP21 AND LIMS SYSTEM CREATE SHARED STANDARD JOB PROCEDURES FOR DTT CIRCUIT FOR THE LIMS / IP21 SYSTEMS ON-GOING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND CLEANUP SUBMIT ARTICLES OR INFORMATAL NOTES TO PLANT ON HOW TO SUBJECTS FOR BOTH THE LIMS AND IP21 SYSTEMS ORDERING SUPPLIES PERFORM LIMITED CLIENT DESKTOP UPGRADES FOR IP21 AND LIMS ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT LIMITED DESKTOP TROUBLESHOOTING STRATEGY: Work on cost effective, yet efficient/effective solutions for IT requests if an already established solution is not in place or a more efficient solution is available and always in alignment with corporate objectives and the business strategy. EXECUTION: Position requires timely execution of Software Change Reguest (SCRs) and required work in accordance with policies, procedures and practices. Be able to drive change when required in all aspects of the job. Be able to follow through tasks in a self directing manner. Position must understand to some degree the LIMS/IP21 database structure and customer needs.
