LINUX SYSTEMS ADMIN Basic Function:Individuals are systems administrators that normally operate independently with little to no intervention from more senior staff members in resolving all but the most complex problems. These individuals will work with other groups to ensure automation and alerts monitoring of all systems are maintained. They are also responsible to ensure that documentation on process and procedures are available and updated regularly.Primary Responsibility:1. 40%Work with the various organizations to design and implement new services and products, providing input on architecture, system sizing, and fault tolerance.2. 15%Document all system configuration details.3. 15%Actively assist the application support teams in the resolution of escalated application issues.4. 15%Coordinate with organizations to ensure timely completion and prioritization of projects.5. 15%Provide participation in the daily level 4 support of Distributed Technologies products.100%Skills Required: Must have at least three - five years experience supporting Distributed Technologies systems. Must have B.S. or equivalent (i.e. job experience) in Computer Science or related discipline. Must have thorough technical understanding of Distributed Technologies systems architecture. Must have a strong understanding of business systems development. Must have excellent problem solving skills. Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.Business Need:The System Administrator position is required to support the production infrastructure of the specific business units Distributed Technologies systems. Fulfillment of this position is required to provide operational support coverage
