Description
Perot Systems Corporation, an international leader in information technology consulting and services, has an immediate opening for a Laboratory Information Systems Professional with a specialization in Blood Bank, to implement Laboratory systems for one of our largest hospital clients.

Job Responsibilities:
Specialists will utilize implementation tools and methodologies under the direction of a Clinical Program Manager and will be working closely with vendors, hospital ancillary department managers, client corporate offices and Perot team members to:

- Define requirements
- Analyze approach
- Translate operational clinical needs into system terms
- File building
- Document process and procedures
- Provide user training
- Act as the primary contact for application design and testing issues
- Assist client System Manager in developing routing operations cycle
- Assist the team in developing, monitoring and managing application support and operational implementation work plans
- Coordinate with the appropriate members of the Project Team in establishment of system and application security
- Provide support for testing, training, and implementation; pre/post GO LIVE activities, and conversion activities.

Required Skills:
  • 1-2 years experience in an acute laboratory clinical setting

  • At least two years experience implementing and/or supporting laboratory information systems, McKesson Horizon Lab or STAR Lab preferred.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Project management experience which includes task definition and project coordination.


    • Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology


    • Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • MLT, ASCP


    • Candidates may live anywhere in the contiguous United States but must be willing to travel extensively.
