Description
Our Healthcare Services is searching for a Lab Analyst. This person will be responsible for the following: Execute assignments to support the completion of projects that include systems implementation, enhancements, interfaces and other improvements to the laboratory information systems in a complex teaching hospital laboratory environment with a significant outreach component. Systems include Misys Flexilab (general laboratory and microbiology), Impac (Tamtron) PowerPath (surgical/anatomic pathology) and Wyndgate SafeTrace TX (transfusion services). Work with users to identify requirements for building and maintaining application tables, dictionaries, and parameters required for system operation and configuration. Participate in LIS User Groups and online listservs, and review contents of all System updates, to ensure optimization of capabilities of the LIS systems. Create ad hoc reports and data extracts required by users. Work collaboratively with IS peers and adhere to IS departmental standards in order to support the overall quality and responsiveness of the IS projects and application support teams. Required Skills Knowledge of LIS System Solutions Knowledge of lab dept operations Strong problem-solving skills.
