Description
CDI has an immediate need for a Lab Technician that is very organized and can do a multitude of tasks at the same time. This position will be responsible for coordinating sample receipt, routing and result reporting to assist in the transition of samples from one location to another. The incumbent will be responsible for operating and maintaining analytical equipment, conducting statistical data analysis, and presenting data and observations.

Qualifications Include:
Two-year science degree preferred, or equivalent relevant laboratory or instrument experience
Perform routine physical testing polymer analysis according to the proscribed method.
Share sample management duties with other team members (sample splitting) and LIMS
Interact with internal customers and co-workers to determine testing needs and to communicate test results in a timely manner
Attain a working knowledge physical testing laboratory areas by cross-training
Operate and assist in maintaining equipment and processes in assigned testing area
Perform work in a safe manner at all times, meet R&D safety goals and actively participate in R&D safety programs
Computer literacy, basic math skills and data analysis
Polymer knowledge preferred
Good oral//written communication, organizational, mechanical , and teamwork skills are essential
This job will frequently require standing, bending repeatedly at the waist, lifting five pounds over their head, walking, and occasionally lifting and/or moving items up to 20 lbs.df-tc
