Description
Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated is searching for a Laboratory Analyst to fill a requirement at a customer site in New London, CT. This is an assignment through July 2007. May be some travel (US). Job Title: Laboratory Analyst Job Objective: To provide scientific oversight to therapeutic areas and global teams to ensure quality laboratory data from specimen collection through reporting. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist in coding of laboratory tests from a global perspective 2. Research and submit code requests for new lab tests. 3. Assist Clinical Data Coordinators (CDC) in assigning lab codes to tests for lab data that are coming in house either on the CRF or by electronically transfer. 4. Work closely with Data Acquisition to ensure proper mapping of vendor laboratory test codes to our test codes 5. Provide information to the Normal Range group about reference ranges and units 6. Provide data needed to report lab parameters in CDARS (e.g. conversions, units, external ranges, decimal precision) 7. Be able to identify and provide study specific abnormality criteria for reporting 8. Assist project teams when needed in preparing the lab portion of the protocol or attend study team/lab vendor meeting and telecons 9. Assist in training Dev Ops personnel whenever needed about laboratory testing No 3rd Party Vendors.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Education: Minimum ? Bachelor?s degree in Medical Technology or Chemistry, or equivalent degree Experience: Minimum ? 5 - 7 years of clinical laboratory experience (will consider 2 years experience) Experience in flow cytometry or special chemistry is preferred Experience in clinical trials a plus Experience: 1-3 Years business analysis Education: Undergraduate Degreedf-tc
