SYSTEMS ANALYST (LAWSON)Position Summary:The System Analyst Corporate Applications is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and end user support of the following applications: Lawson (Financial Applications), GSS / Retalix (Corporate Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution Applications), document imaging, and external data interchange. Specific duties include monitoring application performance, coordinating system updates, developing application interfaces, and addressing end user requests for supplemental reporting. This position reports to the Director, Corporate Applications.Grade: 6Roles and Responsibilities:• Manage and administer applications supporting the Accounting, Purchasing, Marketing, and Distribution departments• Develop and maintain the programs to transmit and receive data with external resources• Provide supplemental reporting, as requested, for assigned departments• Coordinate application upgrades to production systems provided by vendors• Provide regular updates on project status to supervisor • Ensure applications have adequate backups and disaster recovery procedures defined• Participate in the preparation of annual expense and capital plansJob Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent – RequiredCollege Degree or Equivalent Experience – Desired Experience:• 5+ years experience supporting corporate and retail applications• 5+ years application development and support, including applying upgrades to applications• 2+ years project design and leadership• 2+ years Windows SQL and/or Windows Access (desired)Knowledge:• Prior experience with Accounting (Lawson Financial Applications), Purchasing and Distribution related applications• Ability to understand application internals Skills and Ability:• Good Communication skills and the ability to work with other technical staff, users, management and vendors• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions with minimal supervision• Able to prepare/maintain task plans and keep management apprised on project and system status
