Lawson Application Specialist
in accounting/finance report configuration,
system troubleshooting,
general operation support,

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain report writer.
Assist accounting users with system process improvement.
Test and evaluate system upgrades and fixes.
Work with Lawson support and internal IT staff to resolve application issues.
Facilitate interactions between technical IT stuff and accounting personnel.
Project leader for application implementations and upgrades.
Administer application security.

Scope of Responsibility:
Position provides assistants to accounting users with system process improvement.
Position delegates and assigns projects as needed.

Skills: (Specific abilities necessary to perform essential functions in a satisfactory manner.)
Experience training Lawson Financial system.
Experience implementing Lawson 9.0 Financials.
Experience with IBM ISeries platform.
Experience with Lawson - Hyperion Integration.
Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience:
BS Degree with a concentration in Accounting with 5 years Lawson Financial Applications A/P, G/L, AM.
Some experience with Lawson Financial 9.0.
Lawson Microsoft add-ins.
Lawson Financial Report Writer.
Ability to interact with accounting department with fundamental understanding of accounting.
Ability to apply Lawson application functionality to accounting processes.



Ability to speak clearly and articulate effectively in a professional, friendly and positive manner on the telephone and in person to internal and external customers (i.e. Employees, Vendors, and Sales Customers). Ability to recognize and use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accurate formatting in correspondence.

Computer Skills:
Ability to understand and use computer software that the department uses for employment, compliance, and reporting purposes. Specific Software Packages: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer, AS400 and LAWSON.
