Required skills:
#1- 8.03 version of Lawson (2 years minimum), Administrative level
#2- AIX(does not need to be in administrative level but some hands on experience is required.


Role:
OBJECTIVES/DUTIES:

a) Provide system administration and support for the Bank's Lawson environment and application software, hosted on IBM's AIX servers.
b) Participate in System Administration projects as requested by ITE Managers with teams from ITE/ITI and/or other Bank's organizational units supported by ITE/ITI.
c) Participate with infrastructure administrators in the review, development and deployment of new/improved system scripts for backups, automated starts and stops of applications and servers, and other processes

Experience/Skills

Activities to be performed include:

a) Perform System administration functions to support Lawson environment and application.
b) Define printers to Operating System
c) Monitor/maintain file systems and directories
d) Perform backups/and restores
e) Maintain log files, print files and work files
f) Advise developers on best approaches to develop Application Software relative to software and hardware features.
g) Identify and help in the solution of Lawson Application software problems reported by Bank users.
h) Assist in preserving installation policies, standards, and documentation requirements.
i) Prepare and present written System Administration procedures/for relevant/repetitive tasks
j) Any other work activities related to server and application administration, relevant to assigned responsibilities, as requested by Project Team Leader.

Deliverables:

a) Successful completion of assigned tasks within the quality standards and time constraints defined by the Project Team Leader.
b) Prompt response, analysis, resolution and report of any technical problem related to assigned Server and/or applications.
c) Analyze system administration activities and present written recommendations for improvement.
d) Provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
