Description
Our client located in the Pittsburgh, PA area has an exciting opportunity for a Lawson Systems Analyst. This position is responsible for working with business partners, vendors, project managers and others within IT to develop and support software applications used to support Administrative Applications. The responsibilities include: requirements gathering, business analysis, process reengineering, support, prioritization of issues, quality assurance testing, documentation, and training. Project management and coordination may also be required.
Key job elements include:
. Provide second level support for Administrative Application Systems
. Review Administrative Application Software releases and schedule implementations
. Ad hoc reporting as requested by customers
. Business requirements gathering and specification
. Process reengineering
. Prepare documentation for end users of IT systems and IT support services workers using established processes
. Prepare reports on the status, operation and maintenance of applications for use by customers, suppliers, and management
. Quality assurance testing
. Project Management and coordination
. Attend training as needed to develop relevant knowledge and skills
. Travel as required
. Perform administrative duties as required, including timesheet recording and writing reports.

Qualifications for the role include:
. B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of experience in systems support or business analysis in a strong IT organization
. Experience with Lawson or other ERP system, Lawson Processflow or other workflow tool, Sabrix Tax Software, Sage Asset Tracking software, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Planview, Prism Point of Sale software.
. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
. Extensive experience in developing functional designs
. Skilled in development of test plans
. Highly skilled in workflow design and implementation
. Effective interpersonal skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills
. Highly motivated, success oriented, organized and strong work ethic
