Job Description:
Genesis10 is seeking a Lead Application Architect for a major client located in Jersey City, New Jersey on a Full time basis. As the Architect, you will be responsible for directing a team of application architects charged with developing and managing the implementation Architecture. Experience/background with Oracle Coherence a plus!

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an industry expert providing strategic oversight and planning of enterprise data models and data architecture. Oversee and influence the strategic data architecture during the development of applications.
  • Anticipate and resolve database integration issues for technical infrastructures of all complexities.
  • Provide input to development of vision, specify key performance requirements and define technical critical success factors.
  • Develop policies and procedures associated with data requirements for application development.
  • Provide expertise with distributed caching technologies, extreme transaction processing and data grid technologies.
  • Work closely with Database Management group to define standards and best practices around issues like master data management, reference data, Datamodelling, ETL, etc.
Experience:

Required/Skills Experience:
  • A diverse IT and Business background with 10 or more years of IT experience, preferably in the financial services industry, and a minimum of 2 years of IT management experience.
  • Well versed in Broker/Dealer operations, preferably in trading and Back Office functions, and an in-depth understanding of and experience in implementing supporting technologies.
  • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus and Enterprise Messaging technologies (ie Tibco, RV, JMS).
  • Must be well versed in and have experience with software development methodologies, software development and QA standards, IT policies and procedures, and technology standards.
  • Significant experience in designing and developing application architectures.
  • Experience in designing and implementing widely distributed application architectures.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology or, Business Management with significant related IT experience; relevant experience may be substituted.
Preferred/Skills Experience:
  • Experience as a Lead Architect on inception-to-delivery of enterprise Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) is a plus.
  • Masters degree in a technology discipline or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience/background with Oracle Coherence a plus!
