We have an immediate need for a Lead Business Intelligence Project Manager Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating Business Intelligence projects from initiation to implementation. Leads cross-functional project teams and works with Business Analysts/partners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions. Responsible for managing project costs, resources, change requests, risks and issues to ensure that maximum business benefits are maintained. Provides regular project status updates. . Typically holds a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, or other related field (or has equivalent work experience). . Typically has prior IT and business work experience including managing team(s) in analysis and/or programming functions. . Requires prior Business Intelligence tool (MicroStrategy, Cognos, Business Objects etc.) deployment experience. . Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent project management certification highly desirable. . Responsible for facilitating the design and delivery of medium to large scale projects that deliver significant functional change to multiple applications for multiple business products/services. . Typically reports to a Program Manager or Director of Technical Delivery. . Works with Program Managers, Directors of Technical Delivery and Portfolio Management to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects. . Accountable for ensuring appropriate/optimal engagement of delivery resources. . May be required to undertake people management responsibilities for up to five team members. . May be required to undertake coaching and guidance to the affected community to promote best practices large scale BI deployment Projects. . May have a mentor to assist with relevant Business Domain or Project Management issues. . May be required to promote Project Management best-practice through formal and informal networks Position Requirements: Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large scale projects; Oversees managers working on client engagements within practice; Reviews high-level deliverables across projects; Implements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of consulting engagements as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction; Minimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projects; Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects; Responsibilities: Provide project leadership and management support on the development and implementation of system capabilities across data warehouse, Web and production applications. Manage project team resources during the project life cycle; Manage deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of projects. Prepare project plans and other supporting documentation. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of projects; Manage and document project risks and issues, escalating when necessary. Ensure that established project methodology is followed. Manage customer expectations including scope, schedule, changes, problem resolution, and cost. Co-ordinate calls, meeting, and updates with customers and stakeholders as needed during the project life cycle. Collaborate with business, technology, and vendor partners as required to facilitate project deliverables. Provide thought leadership in driving toward on-time, high quality project outcomes.
