Lead ESBWR I&C engineering including support systems to deliver a complete digital platform solution.

Lead x-disciplinary approach for optimized I&C solution including OE/HFE/Software/Simulation, Power Electrical, Main Control Room, etc.

Lead x-functional activities and communication focal in Engineering, business project managers/engineers, Marketing, Sourcing, QA, IM/IT, Licensing, Legal, etc. including document preparation, reviews and presentations.

Create and maintain system and component/equipment documents and databases including requirements, specifications and drawings/diagrams, (e.g.; logic, schematic, wiring, etc.) procedures, reports, presentations, etc.

Perform analyses, calculations and evaluations needed to establish design basis pedigree plus confirm adequacy and margins.

Support I&C procurement activities with supplier/vendor technical assessments and use recommendations as well as support construction/manufacturing fulfillment by responding to questions, review submittals, witness tests, etc.

Develop, participate and drive new engineering processes and tools as well as collaborate across Engineering, AE participants and functional stakeholders.

"Hands-On" leadership and coaching of ESBWR I&C direct reports for plant specific systems as well as assigned responsible engineers from; common/shared Lead Systems Engineering, within ICE COE, GE Energy Controls COE and Optimization & Control business, architect engineer participants and cross-functional support personnel.

Ensure team activities executed in context of job descriptions, skills and qualifications, team structure, coaching/training, plan/schedule, performance reviews, reward/recognition, etc.

Develop and drive clear/comprehensive, flexible, global resource plan including; GEH, GE Energy, contractors, AE participants, etc.
Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering, Technical fields, Physical Sciences, etc.

Minimum of 7 years experience in technical leadership or engineering management.

Minimum of 10 years experience in I&C and Electrical engineering in power, process or oil & gas industry.

Minimum of 5 years experience leading teams of ~15 individuals.

Minimum of 3 years experience working with nuclear customers or regulators directly.

Six Sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt Certification (GE Employees Only).

Desired

MS degree in Engineering, Technical fields, Physical Sciences, etc.

Minimum of 15 years experience in nuclear power plant and related AE I&C and Electrical engineering.

Experience across technical disciplines, power plant types and engineering activities (e.g.; first of a kind engineering (FOAKE), new product/project development, O&M plant engineering).

Experience with 2 nuclear power plant platform designs (e.g.; BWR's, PWR's, etc.).

Strong working knowledge of nuclear power industry guidance, codes, standards, regulations.

Demonstrated ability to establish a technically innovative vision and provide fulfillment engineering leadership.

Demonstrated ability to manage a large, complex projects involving multiple demands and priorities with direct and matrix'ed teams.

Proven ability to energize teams to deliver through inclusiveness with diverse people.

Exceptional communication style, both verbal and written.

Ability to present from small informal groups to large formal ones composed of senior business leadership, customers and regulators.

Demonstrated Imagination and courage to obtain buy-in for calculated risks developing people and new ideas.
