Lead Electrical Engineer

Local machine design manufacturing company is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for running the electrical department, developing electrical system design, generating and releasing electrical schematics and generating and releasing parts lists, etc.

This is a traditional electrical engineer role where your primary focus will be on application engineering, designing systems and programming logic controls.

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will also be responsible for running the electrical department and managing the electrical staff. This staff will consist of electricians for installation/start-up, troubleshooting/support of equipment internationally, and electrical technicians that build/wire up electrical panels and control boxes.

Required Skills:

-BSEE or 5-10 years of related experience.

- Capital Equipment and/or machine shop experience is a plus.

- Knowledge of Relay Logic, Control Circuits, PLC's, drives, motors, etc.

-Ability to lead an Electrical Department as the key Electrical Engineer.

-Experience with Automation a plus (touch screens on equipment). Opportunity to be innovative with new automation features.

-Proficiency with one of the following CAD packages: AutoCad, SolidWorks, Cadkey.

-Drive Technology experience (Primarily AC Vector shiftless motors with some functional DC Motors and OEM support.)df-tc
