Description
Our client is looking for a Lead Embedded Software Developer. The qualified candidate will lead a team of Embedded developers producing firmware for their handheld device. The position reports to our Core Software Development Manager. Responsibilities:
  • Develop software solutions for gaming platforms
  • Work closely with game design, test and operations
  • Responsible for results in terms of meeting ship dates and passing code quality tests


Requirements Include:
  • BS or equivalent, MS in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. 8+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience, and a record of individual technical achievement programming solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert ability in C
  • Developing software without an Operating System (we are creating out own proprietary OS)
  • Experienced in software design on Embedded platforms
  • Experience working with multiple teams: art, game design, and test
  • Experience with 2D games, older console games, simple cell phone games (like Snake), or other action mini-games on Embedded systems development tools; developing games on systems with resource limitations and low-end processors
  • Experience writing low-level hardware drivers
  • Comfortable leading other software developers in overall design
Nice to have:
  • Experience with game logic and AI (artificial intelligence)
