Description
-Conducts/leads engineering design from conception through development phase into acceptance testing.
-Evaluates design proposals and estimates product costs and timescales.
-Develops new engineering designs utilizing CAD/CAE/Simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, Simplorer, OrCad, and P-Spice)
-Coordinates design criteria with vendors and/or customers.
Highly specialized knowledge in the field of Power Electronics:
a) various switching mode power conversion topologies
b) magnetics design
c) EMI control and power correction techniques
d) PWB design
e) power electronics packaging of high voltage power supplies
Extensive knowledge of Power Inverter Module design ranging from 10kw to 400kw.
Performs failure analysis and stress analysis.
Leads electrical design direction to ensure system performance.
Performs trade studies to meet performance requirements while maintaining low design costs.
Proposes new product and technology improvements to meet company goals and objectives.df-tc
