Technical Lead engineer located in Washington, D.C. area::

Job Description
A lead research and development position focusing on the development and analysis of advanced algorithms and on solving mathematically challenging problems in the area of adaptive distributed systems. The successful candidate will play a critical lead role developing and analyzing control and optimization algorithms as part of a high performance multi-disciplinary team that develops and integrates highly-automated distributed computer security systems. Essential expertise includes stochastic processes, estimation, dynamics, adaptive control, information assurance, and complex systems. In addition, this position will require: 1) participation in periodic and ad hoc meetings (internal and external), 2) formal presentations to customers and potential customers, and 3) participation in proposal activities.

Required Skills
PhD in EE or mathematics, or MS+ applicable experience, with expert background in stochastic processes, dynamics, adaptive control, statistics and optimization. Strong skills in MATLAB and leading software development technologies are required (Java, Java technologies, C/C++, XML, etc.) Must also have strong communication skills and be able to excel in a technical lead role on a multi-disciplinary team. Applicant must have a current secret clearance. A Top secret clearance will be required.
