Description
This position has the potential to grow into a supervisory role with the right candidate. Ability to rapidly master new technologies in
spacecraft hardware and software and a keen ability to identify, isolate and solve problems arising during test will be crucial elements of this role. Efficient and timely handling of written and verbal communications, ability to motivate and coordinate a technical team and maintaining positive and inclusive relationships with the rest of the employees are important.

Experience/Skills
Solid spacecraft avionics (C&DH and EPS elements), industry technical standards, and test practices. Knowledge of C&DH and SW requirements and design approaches to keep a team focused on the overall objectives of a task and avoid getting lost in technical details. Efficient and timely handling
of written and verbal communications is critical. Technical leadership of engineering projects. 5 year electronics/ avionics engineering or working in
systems engineering with a very strong knowledge of C&DH and EPS elements. US citizenship or US permanent resident status is required.

Pluses: PhD/MSEE. Flight and ground software. Hardware design experience
including schematic development with OrCAD, digital design experience emphasizing communication bus details, some analog circuit design emphasizing power system interactions and analog signal readout, printed circuit board (PCB) layout using Allegro, circuit/system simulation using PSPICE, and test and debug of hardware and
software systems. The ability to program in C/C++ and experience working with embedded software applications and hard real time operating systems such as VxWorks would be helpful but is not required. Familiarity with TCP/IP communications and RS-422 and LVDS data standards is also highly
desired. Experience with FPGAs and firmware development helpful.
