Description

In this position you will oversee the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of Broadband Wireless Site equipment, office servers and networks in assigned market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as single point of contact for all problems in the Field Operations environment; aggressively pursues root causes for service failures and communicates regularly to the General Manager.
• Assists with new site turn up and development. Tasks may include resource planning, cost estimates and adherence to set deliverables.
• Provide field support for new cell construction in the following areas: on site supervision, equipment delivery coordination, path alignment coordination, equipment installation, cell turn up, and cell optimization.
• Coordinate or perform maintenance of cell sites which involves the emergency generator, batteries/power equipment, the AC units, microwave dishes, antennas, towers, locks and fences, coax cabling, etc.
• Maintains radio equipment, as well as facilities.
• Maintaining PSTN and cell site circuits by routine or fault testing and repairing as needed.
• Assist where needed to identify customer system and equipment problems
• Determines the cause of equipment failure using various types of complex test equipment
• Maintains accurate records of equipment assignments,
• Programming and testing new products.
• Establishes and maintains strong vendor relationships with local providers
• Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe technical operation of the department.
• Monitors expenses, complying with administrative functions and ensuring expense accuracy.
• Ensures market compliance with accepted maintenance procedures and policies
• Ensures compliance with written operating plans and procedures, company policies, labor laws, and OSHA, FAA, DOT, and Hazardous Materials.
• Provide second level support for customer complaints, suggestions, and concerns.
• Provide technical training to other departments as requested.




Experience/Skills
Position Requirements :

• 4+ years of industry experience in a field tech capacity
• Familiarity with telecommunications testing methods, procedures and equipment.
• Prior program management experience in the technology sector and wireless industry.
• Prior experience successfully managing external customer/partner relationships.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of wireless networks technologies and standards.
• Proven success in implementing cross-functional initiatives requiring support and buy-in from all levels within various organizations.
• Strong customer service orientation
• Inventory management experience
• Ability to deliver results in cross-functional, matrixed environment.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office platform and PC’s
• Resourceful and creative problem solving experience.
• Proactive and detail-oriented
• Strong aptitude for creativity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills/presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical degree
