Description
Our client, a veteran-owned small business, is seeking Senior level Java Developers for a contract to fulltime opportunity. The Senior Java Developer will provide application engineering and development support to diverse development efforts. The developer will perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures. In addition, this person will create procedural forms and documentation. This individual must be able to work on cross-functional development teams providing support to diverse platforms. Also, the Senior Java Developer will have previous Lead/Managerial experience and the ability to understand next steps of implementing architecture. REQUIRED:Eight plus years of Java development Five plus years of J2EE (EJB, JSP, Servlets, Portlets)Previous Lead/Managerial experience including ability to understand next steps of implementing architecture Experience with database access technologies – JDBC, Hibernate Familiarity with client side UI technologies (RCP, Swing, SWT) Ability to work independently or as part of a team Experience with analysis phase activities (gathering requirements from business users and creating requirements, etc.) DESIRABLE:·Familiarity with UML·Familiarity with a software management methodology for example, RUP, Scrum
