Join our team of leading innovators as a member of our AT&T Labs team in Austin, TX!

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Member of Technical Staff (LMTS) who will be responsible for defining the short and long term home network architecture which includes by not only limited to home network management systems.

The Lead Member of Technical Staff will take the existing Lightspeed home network plan and develop a comprehensive plan to evolve such home network plan to a ?Managed Home? environment capable of supporting new vertical services and defined SLA's (Service Level Agreement) within the home.

Included in this job function will be the goals of ensuring ?plug-and-play? compatibility of Lightspeed home components, economical installation and repair practices, well defined performance specifications that comprehensively include the residential gateway, home network (wired and wireless), set-to-box, and any ancillary devices like but not limited to personal media players and DVD burners.

This position must incorporate into the home network requirements support for ATT iNID initiative ensuring compatibility and interoperability with a new VDSL based network element.

The individual filling this position must also possess an in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft IPTVe software and architecture as well as an extensive understanding of H.264 and VC1 video technologies. Additionally the individual must possess the ability to define technical requirements and specifications involving existing as well as new emerging products used within the Lightspeed architecture including management interfaces and performance metrics for the STB, home networking components including wireless, and residential gateways.

The selected candidate will be required to implement these management interfaces and performance metrics within a TR069 framework and oversee the implementation within AT&T existing product and vendor base.

The selected candidate must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in video, IP networking, software development and/or hardware development. The candidate must be willing to relocate to Austin Texas.df-tc
