Description:
Manages, maintains, supports, implements and troubleshoots hardware and software issues relating to network equipment (e.g. Cisco routers, switches, hubs, VPN Concentrators, Checkpoint Firewalls and wireless access points). Manages relationships with hardware and software vendors; negotiating contracts related to purchases, services and licenses of network hardware and software.






Develops standards and specifications for network equipment and applications. Completes technical activities including network device upgrades and software patches and other network configuration changes. Supports and administers network WAN connections for remote locations. Administers secure remote access services, including VPN, Dial-UP and Secure ID tokens. Maintains security through Cisco ACS/AAA services and RSA SecureServer.





Interacts with various internal customers as well as IT personnel to assist in problem solving, administration, project work and solution building. Works with Windows and UNIX technical staff to develop overall corporate security infrastructure. Develops and maintain documents related to network infrastructure and operation, including network hardware and software standards, SOP's and network security policies.

Experience/Skills
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent with 8+ years experience in information technology industry.
2. Minimum of five years operations experience in a Cisco Environment including building, troubleshooting and supporting Cisco based networks.
3. Advanced knowledge of routing and routed protocols including, but not limited to: TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, DNS, IPSec, BGP, HTTP/SSL, EIGRP, OSPF, Static routes, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, and NetBIOS/Windows File Services.
4. Strong knowledge of network security issues and how they relate to Cisco devices in a LAN/WAN environment. Strong experience managing network related software, including Checkpoint firewalls and security policies.
5. CCNA preferred, advanced CISCO certifications a plus.
