Description
Responsible for database administration for production, test and development platforms including planning, coordination and execution as required by ATCIS initiatives, with duties including but not limited to the following:
  • Oracle DBA & 11i Applications Administrator
  • Oracle Data Base Configuration, Tuning, Patch Administration
  • TAR Reporting, Tracking & Coordination
  • Coordinating Backup and Recovery operations over all databases, ensuring 100% recoverability
  • Performing Daily, Weekly and Monthly Oracle monitoring and maintenance tasks
  • Monitor and analyze user / process / file system usage and performance indicators
  • Monitor and analyze file system / database growth patterns, make recommendations, and implement required changes.
  • Generate User and Technical Documentation
  • Troubleshoot performance issues

    Experience/Skills
  • BS/BA Computer Science, Business, Engineering
  • 2+ year's Oracle Lead DBA Responsibilities
  • 2+ year's Database strategy and design experience
  • 2+ years implementing IT infrastructure components including "High Availability", "Backup & Recovery", and "DRP" Solutions
  • Oracle 8i, 9i, R11i E-Business Suite, Sun Solaris and/or HP/UX
  • Excellent Communication Skills - High degree of verbal and written proficiency
  • Knowledge and prior exp. in a SEI/CMM, Six Sigma, ISO 9000 or TQM environment is desired
