As a Lead J2EE Engineer, you will be responsible for our corporate extranet suite of applications. You will also be responsible for critical application and reporting initiatives in support of the Global Relationship Management, Global Business Development, Sponsored Products, and Marketing business units.

Reports to: Manager of Investment and Client Applications

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and support efforts

  • Work with business team members, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans

  • Author technical design and support documentation

  • Manage a team of consultants through all aspects of the software development lifecycle

  • Proven ability to support multiple applications simultaneously

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

Experience/Skills
Required Background/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

  • 3+ years experience leading engineering teams on complex projects

  • 5+ years of proven object-oriented software design and development experience

  • 5+ years of demonstrated design, development, and architecture experience in Java-based technologies

  • 5+ years software development experience with browser-based applications and technologies, used both by internal users and externally on the Internet

  • 3+ years of experience with web services, XML/XSLT, Struts Framework, log4j, ANT, and SOA

  • Must possess advanced Oracle SQL, SQL tuning, and PL/SQL skills

  • Proficient working in a Unix environment including solid experience in various shell scripting languages

  • Experience using and deploying to industry-leading application servers such as BEA WebLogic

  • Experience with RUP and other software development methodologies

  • Proven experience in building technology solutions to satisfy complex business needs
