Description
Responsibilities:
Hands-on QA lead, leading a QA team of 5 engineers (1 local and 4 in India)
Plan, co-ordinate, design and implement test strategy
Mentor the QA team to write test plans and test cases
Work closely with development, product management and other groups to improve the overall quality of the product
Design and implement automation scripts
Hands-on executing functional, performance and regression tests plan with available QA resources
Diagnose issues in production and co-ordinate with engineering team to isolate and resolve issues
Conduct bug reviews and prioritize bugs
Maintain the test environment

Required Skill set:

Minimum 8 years experience in software testing and quality assurance
3 years experience in leading a QA team of 3-5 engineers. Strong experience working with offshore team.
Strong Linux/Unix Background (Redhat Linux experience preferred)
Prior experience working in a web-based, hosted environment
Working knowledge of Java, PHP and web services (XML, SOAP, WSDL)
Experience with Email-applications surrounding:
DNS, SMTP, POP/IMAP protocols
Mailing Lists, Spam Mail, E-Mail Delivery, Email Content Checking
Experience in automating tests using QuickTestPro, WinRunner or SilkTest
Comfortable working with Bugzilla and CVS
A passion for testing and desire to ensure end-to-end quality in the development cycle
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented environment
Experience with fully automated regression testing
Exposure to setting up and building QA frameworks for highly scaleable web applications
Strong communication skills
