Title: Lead QA/Test engineerDuration: 3 6 MonthsLocation: Cupertino, CAJob Description: Skill set is general but tool set is specific source control: Perforce defect control: Jira testing environment is Mercury Interactive Quick Test Pro Load Runner Formal description but don't get caught up in it; experience in large-scale S/W projects and Software & Systems Integration. (Targeted platforms and technologies include: Linux, Oracle, J2EE, High-Availability, BEA, SQL Server, .net, C#, SOAP, Windows Server 2003, Embedded XP, 3rd-party S/W & H/W products, etc). - Develop & Define a QA Plan & processes to ensure the quality of the product, including requirements for functionality, scalability and reliability - Identify and manage quality processes for deliveries to Q/A, bug reporting and fix retesting, including a Test Escapes iterative process (The test escape process is to determine why field bugs were missed in the Q/A process, which in turn drives Q/A process improvements) - Ensure that proper Change Control processes are in place for new functionality after Design Freeze - Build/develop a QA team with both on-shore (Cupertino) and off-shore (India) resources - Provide oversight on the execution of the QA Plan - Develop the Q/A test schedule - Provide oversight for the development of Test Plans - Provide oversight for the development of Test Cases - Ensure the thorough execution of the Test Cases with modifications for applicability, including test case additions as required - Provide weekly status updates to Project and Program Management on progress (#test cases run/total, % fail rate, bug fix turnaround rates, etc) - Identify problem areas that may require reengineering - Provide oversight for the formal integration of the end-to-end client solution (planning & execution) - Structure additional Q/A efforts to identify Help-Desk production support requirements (location(s), knowledge transfer & problem reproduction environment)Job Required Skills: QA, Winrunner, Loadrunner, Unix, LeadContact Details: Please forward your resumes to hr3@vls-systems.comPhone: 703-994-4152
