blueStone has been retained by a leading Financial Services company to assist in their search for a Lead SAP Auditor. This is a full time opportunity located in Detroit, MI.



Job Description


Act as project lead auditor on a wide variety of Information Technology Audit assignments in order to identify IT and business risks and assess the adequacy of control procedures and processes, making recommendations for improvement.


Key Accountabilities / Requirements




Conduct planning meetings with auditee prior to fieldwork; prepare the introduction letter and opening presentation; determine audit scope with the audit team and prepare audit plan documents for Manager approval.



Allocate work appropriately within audit team; guide team members to ensure that audit objectives are met, resources are utilized effectively, and sufficient coverage is achieved based on understanding of appropriate business aspects, risks, potential fraud, performance requirements and control processes and systems of auditable activities.



Perform or oversee process risk analysis, process maps/flowcharts, and development of effective and efficient compliance and substantive test plans.



Review workpapers and provide follow-up notes to ensure observations/findings are adequately supported by correctly executed tests and documented in accordance with companys Audit Methodology & IIA standards.



Regularly communicate findings and project status to appropriate unit personnel and company management; prepare the closing meeting presentation.



Complete timely and constructive Post Audit Evaluations for team members.



Ability to travel up to 50% including internationally



Candidates at this level should demonstrate a high-level of experience of generally accepted IT audit standards, statements and practices, and IT security and control practices. Six or more years of current IT audit work experience plus three years managing others including co-sourced resources used by company.



Key knowledge/skills/abilities



In-depth knowledge of various SAP modules for the different business cycles, configurable controls and security model. Ability to train and direct others on assessing key SAP application and infrastructure (e.g., Basis) controls.



Experience with assessing SAP implementation projects during the system development lifecycle.





Thorough understanding of SAP data definitions and ability to oversee data extraction and analysis processes



Ability to understand the accounting implications of business processes automated using SAP and highlight potential areas of concern



In depth understanding of IT general controls, development processes, application controls and interfaces in a complex environment, preferably automotive and/or manufacturing



Preferred knowledge / Experience



Performing IT audits in financial services organizations.



ERP systems including SAP and PeopleSoft Financials and HR.



Technical knowledge of Microsoft and Unix Operating systems, Oracle and Microsoft databases and networking protocols.



Knowledge of technology industry standards, including COBIT, ITIL, CMMI.



Experience of performing system interrogations using standard interrogation software or analysis scripts. (such as ACL or IDEA)



Educational Requirements




Undergraduate degree in Information Science, IS auditing, accounting, business administration, or other related field of study. Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Information Systems or related fields) preferred.



Other relevant professional qualifications



Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar.

Agreement to pursue relevant professional certification if not already certified
