SAP BW Developer


Position Summary

Develops data models and front-end reports in the SAP Business Warehouse Environment; creates documentation for data mapping, business rules, data-flow diagrams, report specification and SAP Business Warehouse best practices to support business requirements.







Essential Job Functions


1.


Works closely with the technical and legacy development teams to develop, design and implement Business Warehouse development objects (i.e., reports, interfaces, conversions, forms and enhancements).



2.



Configures SAP Business Warehouse to best support business requirements.



3.


Executes and integrates system unit testing to validate that the business requirements are met by the SAP system; documents unit testing results.



4.


Implements business requirements through effective communication with both technical and non-technical end users.



5.


Creates documentation for all business requirements and SAP Business Warehouse solutions.

Works with members of development team as well as business analysts and IT management. Interacts with users on an as needed basis.







Education

An associate degree from an accredited learning institution with focus on Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, and/or Engineering; a undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in the above-name disciplines is preferred.

Experience

In addition to the education outlined above, at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in Data Warehousing including SAP BW, SAP R3, MS SQL, Cube Creation, Cube Maintenance, and experience with SAP BW reporting and BI Tools.
Requires strong data modeling skills with background in SAP BW Backend Configuration of InfoObjects, extractors, InfoProviders, transfer/update rules, and process chains.
Experience with SAP BW 3.5, ABAP required as well as knowledge of process and data extraction points with SAP FI/CO, SAP Flex Real Estate, and SAP Project Systems.
Also requires SAP BW BEX and SAP BW Web Reporting background and SAP BPS/BCS experience.
Knowledge of HTML, Java scripting, Microsoft Excel macros, and Visual Basic helpful. Prefer MySAP ERP 2004 and Crystal Reports/Enterprise experience.






Other Skills

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical end users to define and implement business requirements; must work as a member of a team and create/maintain good working relationships.df-tc
