Description
Prestigious Fortune 500 Company, located in the western suburbs of Chicago, is currently seeking a Lead SAP Basis Administrator. Candidate will focus on working with existing Information Technology groups to help expand the company's efforts in the areas of parallel and high-performance computing technology.

Responsibilities:

Support process improvement efforts by providing specific, high-level and extensive technical expertise in SAP Basis area including SAP R/3 and SAP portal.
Production Support and Project support in the SAP Basis area for the entire SAP landscape.
Act as a self-directed and self-motivated facilitator to lead peers through effort, example, and collaboration.
Architect Solutions/Landscapes as it relates to SAP environments.
Develop and implement project objectives and estimates. Draft and complete final reports. Apply existing subject area knowledge base to project efforts. (Generally assigned to tasks that are complex. May work alone, or as part of team, with responsibility for analysis of problems requiring high levels of engineering expertise.)
Assist with performance evaluation of alternatives and assessment of risks and costs.
Ensure SAP systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures as they apply to the implementation and specification for information technology solutions.
Manage delegated relationships with external contacts and has provides consulting, technical expertise, and project direction for SAP basis area. .

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other equivalent analytical or technical disciplines is preferred. 10+ years of Information Technology experience is required.
Demonstrated outstanding innovative use of technology, and the farsightedness necessary to make possible projects of technological significance by means of their leadership or the novel application of technology.
Demonstrated strong troubleshooting experience and an understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts.
Exceptional planning and execution skills, and possess outstanding listening and communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented, resourceful, flexible, and able to work independently.
Familiarity with complex automated system and project management life cycle practices/tools.df-tc
